Noticing stress!
To counteract stress, we have to be aware of it. Stress reactions appear in the form of changes at the following levels:
- Body
becoming red or pale, sweating, rapid heart rate, trembling, crying, sleep disorder, etc.
- Thoughts
“I’m a failure.”, “The others are better.”, “I’m doing it all wrong.”, “Always me!”, “I’ve had it up to here with them!”, Lack of concentration, etc.
- Emotions
fear, powerlessness, helplessness, anger, resentment, resignation, irritability, sensitivity, etc.
- Behavior
making mistakes, grumbling, irritability, withdrawal, slamming doors, consuming more sweets / alcohol, not taking care of health, etc.
