Tips for building up resources for your employees
Managers can be stressors as much as they can be resources!
- Take stress out of difficult situations by recalling successes. This is how you can strengthen employees’ self-esteem.
- Signal by the tone of your voice: slow down and calm down!
- Also be a model in daily small relaxation breaks at the office.
- Give even more signals of social support in stressful situations (“I’m available, I stand by you, we all make mistakes sometimes”)!

- Pay attention to yourself in stressful situations and how you cope with stress.
